Role: Business Development Coordinator

Location: Daresbury

Salary: From £33,000

Contract Type: 12-Month Fixed Term Contract

Do you thrive in fast-paced, high-impact environments where details matter and momentum is everything? Want to play a central role in driving commercial growth for a purpose-led organisation shaping the future of online responsibility?

Online Responsibility Network (ORN) is growing — and we’re looking for a Business Development Coordinator for a 12-month fixed term contract to sit at the heart of our commercial activity. This is not a traditional admin role. You’ll own the coordination, tracking and follow-through of our business development pipeline, ensuring our senior commercial leads can focus on relationships, strategy and closing. ORN deals are complex, multi-stakeholder and high value. This role is critical to ensuring credibility, precision and scale as we continue to grow our impact.

What You’ll Be Doing

Keep Sales Activity Running Smoothly

  • Coordinate a high volume of introductory and follow-up meetings
  • Manage diaries, scheduling and logistics across internal and external stakeholders
  • Prepare meeting agendas and ensure materials are ready in advance
  • Track actions and ensure follow-up happens promptly

Own Pipeline Accuracy and Reporting

  • Maintain CRM records to a high standard (contacts, stages, notes, next steps)
  • Support forecasting and provide clear visibility of pipeline health
  • Produce simple but reliable reporting for leadership
  • Monitor conversion rates and highlight risks or bottlenecks

Prepare High-Quality, Tailored Materials

  • Adapt pitch decks and briefing packs for prospective members
  • Ensure materials remain current and aligned with ORN positioning
  • Coordinate updates with marketing and leadership teams
  • Support proposal drafting and pricing documentation

Maintain Momentum to Decision

  • Manage post-meeting follow-up communications
  • Track outstanding questions, internal approvals and timelines
  • Professionally chase where needed
  • Support stakeholder mapping and engagement tracking

Coordinate Contracts Through to Onboarding

  • Prepare contracts and membership documentation using agreed templates
  • Support procurement processes and liaise with legal or finance teams
  • Track signatures and key milestones
  • Ensure clean handover to the Membership / Delivery team

What You’ll Bring To The Role

  • Experience supporting sales, partnerships or business development teams
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience maintaining CRM systems with accuracy and discipline
  • Confident written communication skills
  • The ability to work at pace while remaining calm and structured
  • A proactive mindset — spotting gaps before they become problems
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of pipeline dynamics
  • Confidence in professionally chasing and engaging senior stakeholders
  • Proven ability to operate in a standalone role with minimal supervision
  • Strong self-management skills with the ability to prioritise and structure your workload independently
  • Comfortable working with limited direction, using sound judgement to move work forward

Preferred Background

  • Exposure to contract management processes or procurement cycles would be advantageous
  • Experience providing support to senior commercial leaders
  • Proven ability to accurately manage and maintain CRM systems
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on accuracy
  • Strong and confident written communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
